Jefferson C. “Cal” Callier was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and is a 1987 Graduate (with honors) of Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia. Upon graduation, Cal served as a law clerk to Honorable Justice Hardy Gregory, Jr. of the Georgia Supreme Court. In 1988 he came to Columbus and joined J. Anderson Harp in the Andy Harppractice of Law.

 

For almost twenty years, his practice has been exclusively devoted to the representation of individuals and families devastated by severe brain, burn, and spinal cord injuries. His clients have recovered millions of dollars in wrongful death, products liability, medical malpractice, and vehicle and tractor-trailer wrecks. 

 

Cal is a former Vice-President of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association; former President of the Federal Bar Association for the Middle District of Georgia; past President of the General Practice and Trial Section of the Georgia State Bar; appointed special master for Attorney Disciplinary proceedings; a member of the State Bar’s statewide committee on Judicial Qualifications; a member of the American Bar Association; and a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

 

Cal is rated “AV” by Martindale Hubbell, the largest and most respected attorney peer review rating service in the nation.  He is married to the former Linda Henry and they have two children.
